Chief Sales Officer

A wholesale Tabletop/Giftware company is looking to hire a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales to lead our tableware and wholesale sales department. As the Head of Sales, the candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the sales operations, from developing sales strategies to managing a team of sales professionals nationwide. This role is crucial in driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and adapting to market trends to maintain our competitive edge.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans to achieve company revenue goals. Prepare and manage the sales budget, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
Lead and motivate the sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support. Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and implement remedial plans as necessary to address poor performance.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Adjust sales strategies and tactics accordingly to capitalize on market opportunities and drive sales growth.
Develop creative sales approaches and promotional strategies to stimulate sales growth and expand market reach. Innovate new ways to showcase our products effectively.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and external suppliers. Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Address customer concerns and inquiries promptly and effectively. Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained throughout the sales process.
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and optimize the sales process, identifying inefficiencies and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to showcase products, generate leads, and build brand awareness.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in a senior sales management role. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and leading a sales team.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team towards achieving ambitious goals.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret sales performance metrics and formulate effective strategies.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and building long-term client relationships.
Willingness and ability to travel to trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings as required.
Ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
Creative thinker with a passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement. Goal-oriented with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Flexible and adaptable to changing market conditions and business priorities.

Salary: $150K
