A Corporate Services company is looking to hire a Finance and Operations Controller who will be responsible for overseeing financial operations and ensuring the smooth management of inventory and supplier relationships. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles combined with hands-on experience in operations, purchasing, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of analyzing financial data from an operational perspective to support decision-making and drive business success.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Monitor financial performance and provide insights on variances, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing holding costs.
Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and systems.
Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
Supplier Relations:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Oversee the procurement process, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes.
Operational Efficiency:
Analyze operational processes and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational decision-making.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular reports on financial and operational performance for senior management.
Utilize data analytics to drive strategic decisions and improve operational outcomes.
Qualifications:
Experience in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, with a focus on both finance and operations.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and inventory management.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
