Pediatric Endocrinologist
A large Medical Facility is looking to hire a Pediatric Endocrinologist. The candidate will need to specialize in diagnosing and treating children with endocrine disorders, which affect hormones and glands in the body. In addition, the candidate will provide comprehensive care to infants, children, addressing conditions such as diabetes, growth disorders, thyroid disorders, adrenal gland disorders, and other hormonal imbalances.
Responsibilities:

Evaluate patients to diagnose endocrine disorders through medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests such as blood tests, imaging studies, and hormone stimulation tests.

Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, which may include medication management, lifestyle modifications, hormone therapy, and surgical interventions.

Monitor and assess children's growth and development, identifying and addressing growth disorders such as short stature or delayed puberty.

Diagnose and manage thyroid disorders such as hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer in pediatric patients.

Diagnose and manage adrenal gland disorders such as adrenal insufficiency, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, and Cushing's syndrome.

Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals such as pediatricians, nurses, dietitians, psychologists, and surgeons to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients with endocrine disorders.

Educate patients and their families about the nature of their condition, treatment options, potential complications, and strategies for disease management.
Qualifications:

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.

Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of current evidence-based practices in pediatric endocrinology.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
