Certified Nurse Midwife CNM

A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). As a CNM, you will provide comprehensive care including prenatal, labor and delivery, and postpartum care. You will work collaboratively with obstetricians, gynecologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of mothers and their newborns. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to promoting positive birth experiences, empowering patients to make informed healthcare decisions, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.



  • Conduct prenatal visits to monitor the health of pregnant women, provide education on pregnancy, childbirth, and newborn care, and address any concerns or complications.

  • Perform routine screenings, examinations, and diagnostic tests during pregnancy to assess fetal development and maternal health.

  • Assist with the management of labor and delivery, including monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, providing emotional support, and guiding women through the birthing process.

  • Provide guidance and support to women during childbirth, including pain management techniques, labor positioning, and coaching during delivery.

  • Perform postpartum assessments and provide care to women and newborns in the immediate postpartum period, including breastfeeding support, newborn care education, and monitoring for any complications.

  • Collaborate with obstetricians, gynecologists, neonatologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for women and newborns.

  • Educate women and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and wellness strategies throughout the reproductive lifecycle.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient education.

  • Stay abreast of current research, guidelines, and best practices in midwifery and women's health to provide evidence-based care.



  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a CNM in a clinical setting, preferably in obstetrics or women's health.

  • Proficiency in conducting prenatal assessments, managing labor and delivery, and providing postpartum care to women and newborns.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care, respecting women's autonomy, and promoting informed decision-making.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and ensuring patient safety.

  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and participation in continuing education activities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.

  • Understanding of and adherence to professional standards, ethical principles, and legal regulations governing midwifery practice.
