VP of Sales

A consumer goods Distributor is seeking a Sales Director.
This position will build and lead a team of high performing salespeople to help meet customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping the company competitive and innovative. Candidate will also be responsible for maximizing sales team potential, crafting sales plans and communicating those to plans to the upper management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plans.
  • Pursue new sales opportunities, gather inbound leads, and follow up with calls and meetings.
  • Establish sales territories and manage sales distribution.
  • Represent the company, with a comprehensive understanding of its offerings.
  • Achieve company objectives through effective planning, setting sales goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance.
  • Continuously develop personal leadership, hiring, and training skills while ensuring the team is using effective sales tactics to meet revenue objectives.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence.
  • Generate leads, and build and nurture client relationships.
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition.
     

Requirements:

  • Successful previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization with great motivational speaking experience.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills and superb leadership ability.
  • Familiarity with CRM and other necessary software.
