Purchaser

A Corporate Gifts Retailer is an experienced Purchaser. This individual will play a vital role in sourcing and procuring corporate gifts from overseas suppliers to meet the unique needs of the clientele. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for quality, strong negotiation skills, and a knack for sourcing innovative and impactful gifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and establish relationships with overseas suppliers to procure a wide range of corporate gifts.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific requirements and preferences for corporate gifting.
  • Curate a diverse selection of high-quality corporate gifts that align with clients' branding and budgetary constraints.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of products.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring consistent product quality, reliability, and adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Generate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging products, and market dynamics to continuously enhance our product offerings.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure that all procured products meet standards of excellence.
  • Coordinate logistics and shipping arrangements for imported goods, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor communications for reference and audit purposes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing.
  • Proven track record of sourcing and procuring products from overseas suppliers.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with vendors and clients.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality control.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and logistics preferred.
