HR Generalist

A commercial real-estate services company is seeking a skilled HR Specialist. The ideal candidate must be comfortable being hands-on in executing programs while also leading the strategic talent leadership initiatives. This role is responsible for the design, implementation and management of HR programs, while ensuring compliance with all HR policies and procedures to include local, state, and federal requirements. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Update and manage company policies and compliance.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate employee records.
  • Ensure the company is up to date with all employment related laws and regulations.
  • Review, investigate, and address all employee related and legal claims.
  • Work with outside counsel (as needed).
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers/employees to ensure consistent application and integration of company policies and procedures. 
  • Promote an accountable, ethical and compliant work environment.
  • Create and Manage HR best practices & processes; update as needed.
  • Enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
  • Oversee Benefit Administration.
  • Plan, implement, and manage full-cycle, day-to-day administration of all benefit plans, including enrollment process, eligibility changes, terminations, premium and deductions payments, and resolving employee questions and concerns.
  • Workers' Compensation administration; monitor and review accident investigation, claims management, risk mitigation.
  • Recruitment: Centralize and create the process. Assist hiring managers with recruiting new talent for open positions within the company.

 Requirements:

  • Previous work experience in HR.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
  • High degree of professionalism, maturity, and ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and other government compliance regulations. 
  • Displays commitment to customer service and employee satisfaction.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently while contributing to team initiatives.
