A building supplies Distributor is seeking an experienced Outside Sales Rep to oversee Tri-State Area customers.
This position entails overseeing and growing active accounts, securing new accounts, following up on leads and accurately quoting products, as well as following the trends to secure information on new products.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for selling, marketing, promoting and demonstrating products.
· Increasing business by generating sales to new customers and by selling additional products to existing customers.
· Assists with the selection of products best suited to customer needs.
· Promotes, sells and secures new accounts for the company.
· Prospects for new accounts within a specified geographical territory.
· Assists with the selection of products best suited to customer needs.
· Continuously offering customers full product line and services.
· Maintain high levels of service and quality.
· Prepares reports as directed by management to include sales, profit margin, and expense.
· Reviews new products and stays abreast of market.
· Works with operations manager to develop a consistent service level across locations.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
· 3 years of related work experience. Proven sales track record.
.Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
.Working knowledge of building materials industry and products.
· Ability to negotiate prices effectively.
· Computer skills.
