A health services firm is seeking a skilled HR Generalist. The HR Generalist will lead and provide assistance to a team of HR team leaders and coordinators responsible for administrative employees and DSP (Direct Support Professional) related workflows, and potentially modify the department’s structure for increased efficiency.
This role involves collaborating closely with Directors and Supervisors to take charge of the entire recruitment lifecycle, including assessing the need for open positions, creating job listings, evaluating candidates, conducting interviews, performing background checks, and facilitating smooth onboarding. The HR Generalist’s role also includes providing guidance to supervisors on all compensation issues such as payroll, bonuses, raises, etc. The HR Generalist will also support employees with all benefits such as insurance enrollment, PFL, FMLA, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and support a team of HR team leaders and coordinators on HR workflow for admin employees and DSPs.
• Work with Directors and Supervisors to oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including discussing necessity of open roles, job postings, candidate screenings, interviewing, background checks, and onboarding.
• Oversee new employee onboarding to ensure that they have computer access, phone extensions, email address, company software access, etc.
• Conduct new employee follow up calls to ensure employee satisfaction.
• Assist employees with all HR matters such as insurance and other benefits enrollment, PFL, FMLA, etc.
• Provide guidance and support to supervisors on how to handle employee benefits, compensation, payroll matters, raises/promotions, payroll software, etc.
• Process bonuses, raises, promotions, etc.
• Oversee process for all HR data collection and retention for easy retrieval for internal data transfers, state audits, etc.
• Collaborate with HR Director to implement relevant company and legal policies.
