A construction firm is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager.
This position will be responsible for the successful execution of a project. The primary responsibilities are to plan, direct, organize and coordinate the project. This includes conceptual development of construction projects and overseeing its organization, estimation, scheduling and implementation. This is an in-house office position.
Responsibilities:
- During the pre-construction phase, attending all design meetings to continually evaluate the materials and products being proposed, for constructability and feasibility.
- Determine labor requirements and coordinate workers at construction sites.
- Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other pertaining regulations.
- Interpret and explain plans and terms to administrative staff, workers, developers or contractors.
- Prepare scopes of work and confirm changes or additions.
- Obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
- Study job specifications to determine appropriate coordination methods in achieving cost-effectiveness of plans.
- Solicit, negotiate, and assist with selecting and overseeing subcontractors who complete specific aspects of the project.
- Requisition supplies and materials to complete construction projects.
- Track progress and cost reports.
- Develop and implement quality control programs.
- Take action to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.
- Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures and facilities.
Requirements:
- Building and Construction: Knowledge of the materials, methods and tools involved in the construction or repair of commercial projects, buildings and other structures.
- Public Safety and Security: Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local and state security operations for the protection of people, data, property and institutions.
- Administration and Management: Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources.
- Must have 3 years’ experience as a Construction Site Manager.
- Employee must be an energetic, flexible and motivated self-starter committed to working with a dynamic and growing team.
