A Construction Firm is seeking to hire a Construction Bookkeeper.
The Construction Bookkeeper will perform accounting duties, including billing, collections, change orders, accounts payables, wire payments and credit card reconciliations. The Construction Bookkeeper will work closely with Project Managers to ensure that billing is completed on time, that all paperwork is in order and that updates are made when necessary. This role will also be responsible for the Schedule of Values process, including creating, getting approval, and entering into QuickBooks. This role requires a high degree of self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and a hyper focus on deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Data entry into QuickBooks of purchase orders, payments, and bills.
- Create billing invoices, get approval, and documentation when necessary.
- Responsible for collection calls and emails, as well as liens.
- Oversee Schedule of Values process.
- Overseeing the check run from start to finish.
- Answer phone calls and interact with clients and vendors.
- Acting as liaison to project managers.
- Banking/Credit Cards management and reconciliation.
- Assisting with the preparation of operating budgets, financial statements, and reports.
- Client/Subcontractor insurance management & compliance.
Requirements:
- Experience doing bookkeeping in the construction industry required.
- Prior accounting experience with QuickBooks required- 3+ years.
- Computer Skills – Basic/Intermediate (Outlook, Word, Excel) a must.
- Excellent organizational abilities with great attention to detail.
- Strong numerical proficiency, good problem-solving skills and excellent use of logic.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
- A go-getter, takes initiative, is a quick learner and team player who takes responsibility and ownership of their work.

Salary: $75K
