A health services firm is seeking a skilled in-house Accountant.
This position is responsible for overseeing the company's financial functions, health, and growth. This position will be instrumental in preparing, analyzing, and tracking financial information. Responsibilities include generating financial reports, overseeing regulatory financial dealings, and facilitating audits and tax returns.
Responsibilities:
· As the key member of the Finance team, contribute toward its goals of ensuring accurate and timely financial processing.
. Assist with record-keeping and analysis, providing credible financial advice, and developing appropriate strategies for the company.
.Work closely with individual department managers and executive managers on all matters of financial planning including: budget management, revenue recognition, expense reconciliation, and closing books in an efficient and timely manner.
· Provide ongoing support and advice to senior leadership regarding best practices for financial activities and budgeting.
· Work with each department's staff and managers to ensure timely and accurate submissions of financial activity.
· Apply analytical skills and business acumen to company activities to proactively identify actionable opportunities, offer recommendations and oversee their implementation.
· Analyze and review monthly results against budget. Utilize the accounting software to research variances.
· Prepare projections for each of the company's facilities.
· Prepare initial budget reports for senior management. Work in tandem with senior management to refine and present an annual budget.
. Oversee internal audits.
. Oversee internal/external audits and tax preparations.
Requirements:
· Minimum 3 years of related work experience, CPA is preferred.
· In depth knowledge of accounting and finance principles is required.
· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
· Strong ability to synthesize large sets of data and summarize into meaningful reports and recommendations.
· Skilled at analyzing, researching, and articulating financial ideas and information to non-financial staff.
· Capable of prioritizing competing responsibilities in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and QuickBooks a plus.
